Mapping GoDaddy Domain Name to Blogger Blogspot

Open your Blogspot blog and select the “Settings” menu.Navigate to the “Basic” tab and you must see the “Publishing” settings under it.Click on “Add a custom domain”.
Enter the domain name that you have purchased on Godaddy and click on the “Save” button. If you get an error stating that “Blogs may not be hosted at naked domains” then enter “www” before your domain name.
You mus get an error now stating that “Cname records not found” and you will be provided with two Cname records. Copy them and keep in notepad.

Log into your Godaddy account and click on the “My account” Tab which is located on the top left.

Expand the “Domain” details by clicking on the + button next to it and you must see your registered domains.Click on the “Launch” button next to the domain name for which you are going to connect with the Blogspot account.
Navigate to the “DNS Zone File” tab and you must see several information related to your domain name.Click on the “Edit” button to edit those details.
You need to tinker few settings here and the first one is under the A(host) values. Can you see the “Quick add” button under the A(host) settings? if then just click on the button because we are going to add 4 values to it.In case if there is any default value under the A(host) you could click on the pencil tool under it to edit those values.
Click on “Quick add” and insert “@” on the first column and “216.239.32.21” on the second column.Repeat it for the remaining three address “216.239.34.21” , “216.239.36.21” and “216.239.38.21”.After entering all the 4 values you must see something like the below screenshot exactly.
Scroll down a bit and you should see the CNAME(Alias) column.Ignore the default CNAME records if any and you are going to add a new CNAME value under it.Click on the “Quick add” button and enter the Cname record details which you had copied earlier on the first step. For example “www” must be entered under the host field and “ghs.google.com” must be entered under the points to field. Similarly copy the second Cname value also. If you miss this step then you have to start it over.
You have completed configuring your domain name from the Godaddy account but you are one step away from mapping it to the Blogspot blogger.
Go to your blogger from where you had left earlier and hit on the save button. Now you can view your website at the domain mentioned on your blogger settings. But what if someone types in “yourwebsite.com” instead of “www.yourwebsite.com” ? we need to redirect properly and this step is simple. Again go to the Settings => Basic and under Publishing click on the edit button.Check the box which displays “Redirect yourwebsite.com to www.yourwebsite.com” and you are done.
